Selection Procedure for Rajasthan High Court Stenographer Recruitment

Selection Procedure:
1. Shorthand Test (Group A – English / Group B – Hindi):
- Group A (English Shorthand): Dictation of passage for 6 minutes at 80 words per minute (100 marks); Transcription and typing on computer in 50 minutes.
- Group B (Hindi Shorthand): Dictation of passage for 6 minutes at 70 words per minute (100 marks); Transcription and typing on computer in 50 minutes.
2. Computer Test – Group C (Compulsory for All):
- Speed Test: 10 minutes, 50 marks (Minimum: 22.5 for General/Others; 20 for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Efficiency Test: 10 minutes, 50 marks (Minimum: 22.5 for General/Others; 20 for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Font: Kruti Dev 010 for Hindi; Calibri for English. Minimum speed: 8,000 key depressions per hour.
3. Qualifying Interview:
- Carries no marks. Purpose is to ensure the candidate does not stammer or have any impediment preventing them from reading their own writing.
- Candidates are called for interview to the extent of total vacancies, in order of merit.
Merit List: Prepared on the basis of Total Aggregate Marks in Shorthand Test + Computer Test (Speed + Efficiency). In case of tie, higher marks in Shorthand Test decide rank; if still tied, older candidate gets higher rank.
