1. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy)

   • No. of Vacancies: 4
   • Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in Anatomy (MS/MD/DNB/MBBS+MSc/MSc+PhD/MSc+DSc in Anatomy) from recognized Teaching Institute; 3 years teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar/Assistant Professor/Lecturer
   • Age Limit: 40 years (UR/EWS), 45 years (SC)
   • Pay Scale: Level-11 plus NPA (7th CPC)

2. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine)

   • No. of Vacancies: 60
   • Qualification: MBBS degree + post-graduate degree in General Medicine (MD Medicine/MD General Medicine/DNB Medicine/General Medicine) from recognized Teaching Institute; 3 years teaching experience
   • Age Limit: 40 years (UR/EWS), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST); PwBD: +10 years
   • Pay Scale: Level-11 plus NPA (7th CPC)

3. Assistant Editor

   • No. of Vacancies: 2
   • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communication OR Bachelor’s degree with Economics/Statistics/English + Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication (min 1 year); 3 years editing/publishing experience
   • Age Limit: 30 years (UR), 35 years (SC); PwBD: +10 years
   • Pay Scale: Level-07 (7th CPC)

4. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Anaesthesiology

   • No. of Vacancies: 1
   • Qualification: Recognized medical qualification (MBBS) + PG degree/diploma in Anaesthesiology (MD/MS/DA/FFAR CS/Specialty Board USA or DA diploma); 3 year’s experience after PG degree or 5 years after PG diploma
   • Age Limit: 50 years (ST); PwBD: +10 years
   • Pay Scale: Level-11 plus NPA (7th CPC)

5. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Pediatrics

   • No. of Vacancies: 1
   • Qualification: Recognized medical qualification (MBBS) + PG degree/diploma in Paediatrics (MD Paediatrics or Diploma Paed. DCH); 3 year’s experience after PG degree or 5 years after PG diploma
   • Age Limit: 45 years (EWS); PwBD: +10 years
   • Pay Scale: Level-11 plus NPA (7th CPC)

6. Assistant Public Prosecutor

   • No. of Vacancies: 140
   • Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute; 3 year’s experience at the bar
   • Age Limit: 35 years (UR/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST); PwBD: +10 years; Contractual employees: up to 5 years one-time relaxation
   • Pay Scale: Level-10 (7th CPC)

7. Public Law Officer/District Litigation Officer/Law Officer

   • No. of Vacancies: 4
   • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in law (Professional or integrated) from a university established by Law in India; 2 years actual practice at bar certified by Principal District and Sessions Judge or Registrar General of High Court or Supreme Court
   • Age Limit: 40 years (ST); PwBD: +10 years
   • Pay Scale: Level-8 (7th CPC)

UPSC APP & Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Depending on the number of applicants and the requirements of the post, UPSC may conduct a Recruitment Test (RT) for shortlisting candidates, followed by an Interview. In some cases, candidates may be shortlisted directly for interview.
