The Government of Delhi has introduced the Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana for girl children. Under this new scheme, eligible girls will receive financial assistance as per the latest government guidelines.   • Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana Scheme is a flagship scheme of Government of Delhi for a girl child.
  • It is administered and governed by Department of Women and Child Development of Delhi Government.
  • The Scheme is a monetary assistance scheme for the girl child.
  • State Bank Life Insurance Corporation Limited (SBIL) is the Fund Manager of the scheme.

Conditions & Mode of Distribution of Financial Assistance

Conditions
  • The financial assistance is non-transferable and non-refundable
  • The amount cannot be withdrawn prematurely
  • No loan or credit facility is allowed against the deposited amount
  • The girl must remain unmarried until 18 years of age
  • Immunization compliance is mandatory at all stages
  • Failure to renew milestones may lead to the discontinuation of benefits
Mode of Disbursement
  • Funds are deposited in the name of the girl child
  • Managed through an authorized banking partner
  • Final maturity amount is credited to the Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • Valid until completion of milestones or attainment of 21 years

Eligibility Conditions

  1. The applicant should be a girl child born in Delhi.
  2. The applicant should possess a birth certificate issued by the Registrar (Births and Deaths) of Delhi.
  3. The applicant should be a bonafide resident of Delhi for at least 3 years preceding the application.
  4. The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed ₹1,20,000.
  5. The benefit is limited to two girl children per family.
  6. The applicant should be studying in a Government, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), or government-recognized school in Delhi.
  7. The applicant should apply within 1 year of birth or within 90 days of admission at the applicable stages.
  8. The girl child can be registered under the scheme within one year of birth or at the time of admission in Class 1st, 6th, 9th, 11th or after passing class 10th upon admission to Polytechnic/ITI courses (anywhere in India); or upon admission to Graduation/Diploma courses after passing 12th.
  9. The applicant must be pursuing a professional diploma in any Government-recognised or affiliated university, college, or institution, or under any other Government body (State/Central), anywhere in India.
  10. The applicant must be pursuing graduation in any university, college, or institution affiliated with or recognised by the UGC or any other Government body, anywhere in India.
  11. The applicant should remain unmarried until attaining 18 years of age.
  12. The applicant should fulfill immunization requirements as per the government norms.

For girl child residing in any Government run and Licensed Child Care Institutions (CCIs) located in Delhi, where guardian is the State:

  1. The incharge of the institution will be the guardian of the girl child.
  2. The conditions of the family residing in Delhi for three years and family income limit shall be exempted in such cases.
  3. The birth place of the girl child shall also be exempted.
  4. The Aadhar card of girl child and the Aadhaar card of the incharge (at the time of registration) of the CCI being guardian shall be considered under required documents.
  5. This is applicable to only long term cases (residents) who are school going.

  • Caste Certificate (If Applicable).

  • Resident proof of 3 years. Residence proof should be one of the following :-

    • Electricity Bill.
    • Telephone Bill.
  • School Declaration Certificate (if Applicable).
  • Self-Declaration/Income Certificate.
When Applied at the Time of Child Birth.

Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana Scheme Online Application Procedure

Registration Process:

Step 01: The parent/guardian should visit the "Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Scheme" official website. 
Step 02: Click on the "Sign Up for Parent or Guardian."
Step 03: Fill out the registration form: parent/guardian name, mobile number, email ID, etc. 
Step 04: Enter the captcha code and submit. 

Application Process:

Step 01: Log in to the official portal using the registered mobile number and captcha. 
Step 02: The applicant should fill in the complete application form with details such as personal information, family income, educational details, and Aadhaar information.
Step 03: The applicant should upload all required documents, including birth certificate, residence proof, Aadhaar, and school certificates.

NOTE:

  • The applicant should submit the application within the prescribed timeline, that is within 1 year of birth or 90 days from admission at any milestone.
  • Upon completion of Class XII and attaining 18 years, or completion of graduation/diploma and attaining 21 years, the maturity process will be initiated.
  • The final accumulated amount will be credited directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the girl child.
