Selection Procedure For SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Selection Procedure:
- Selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of academic merit through a walk-in process.
- Weightage: 30% to marks secured in Class-X examination and 70% to marks secured in Degree/Diploma/ITI examination, as applicable.
- Selection is subject to the availability of vacancies in various categories and disciplines.
- Engagement for training of selected candidates is subject to being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Apprentices Act, 1961. Medical certificate to be issued by a Govt. doctor with medical registration number seal.
- Management reserves the sole right to cancel the selection process at any point of time. Decision of Management regarding selection will be final.

- Reporting Time: 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on respective walk-in dates.
- Reservation: As per the guidelines of Govt. of Odisha with applicable age relaxation.
- Stipend: 50% paid by RSP and 50% from BOPT under DBT Mode (for Graduate/Technician Apprentices). Trade Apprentices: Rs. 10,560/- per month (except COPA & Welder @ Rs. 9,600/-) or as per MSDE, GOI prescribed rates.
- Eligibility Conditions:
- Only candidates who completed qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
- Candidates who passed qualifying examination in last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) only are eligible.
- Candidates whose results have not been declared as on last date of application are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training or have job experience for a period of ONE year are NOT eligible.
- Documents Required at Walk-in:
- Original Institution Leaving Certificate (to be retained by RSP till completion of training)
- Self-attested copy of Matriculation certificate for DOB verification
- Self-attested copy of Provisional Pass Certificate
- Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PH Certificate (if applicable)
- Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card/Passbook (e-KYC Validation Mandatory)
- Medical Fitness Certificate from Govt. Hospital
- Apprentice Registration copy from NAPS/NATS Portal
- No Accommodation: RSP will not provide any accommodation during training. Apprentices shall make their own arrangements.
- No Travel Allowance: RSP is not liable for providing any Travel Allowance to applicants.
- No Regular Employment: RSP shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices during and/or after completion of apprenticeship training.
