- Phase II – Main Examination (Online): Objective test of 200 marks, 120 minutes duration with 5 sections: Test of Reasoning (40 questions, 40 marks, 30 min), Test of English Language (40 questions, 40 marks, 30 min), Test of Numerical Ability (40 questions, 40 marks, 30 min), Test of General Awareness (40 questions, 40 marks, 15 min), Test of Computer Knowledge (40 questions, 40 marks, 15 min). - Regional Language Test: Qualifying in nature only. No separate marks awarded. Candidates qualifying Main Examination will be called for Regional Language Test. Final selection based on performance in Main Examination subject to qualifying Regional Language Test.
- Penalty for Wrong Answers: One-fourth of marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examinations. No deduction for un-attempted questions.
- Final Merit List: Prepared state-wise and category-wise in descending order of marks in Online Main Examination, subject to qualifying Regional Language Test. In case of equal marks, the candidate senior most in age will be shortlisted.

- Probation Period: Minimum 6 months. Candidates resigning during probation shall pay salary received during service plus Rs. 25,000/- towards partial cost of training.
